Key Data:

  • 13.14% of Google searches now trigger AI Overview (March 2025, doubled from 6.49% in January)

  • AI crawler timeouts typically 1-5 seconds, requiring fast response

As a technical blog maintainer, I realized: If my content cannot be understood and cited by AI Agents, its visibility in the future will significantly decrease.

So I spent a day doing a comprehensive AI Agent SEO optimization for this Hugo blog. This article documents the complete practical process.

What is AI Agent SEO?

Optimization Strategy and Implementation

1. Enhanced JSON-LD Structured Data

Why Important: AI systems understand content semantics and structure by parsing JSON-LD.

Original Problems: My blog had basic BlogPosting Schema but lacked key fields:
